Care Instructions

Aftercare is extremely important Please ensure you follow our care guide to ensure your jewellery stays looking its best.

Avoid direct contact with perfume, body lotions, hair sprays or other chemicals – Always apply before wearing your jewellery to avoid contact as much as possible as these can affect your jewellery.

Remove your jewellery before going to bed – We always recommend you remove your jewellery before bed as sleeping in your jewellery causes undue stress and wear and tear.

Avoid direct sunlight, heat or cold, especially stay from humidity – Strong UV rays and prolonged exposure can cause fading and discolouration to both the silver and the stone.

Remove jewellery when bathing, showering or swimming washing up etc – Do NOT submerge your jewellery in water, Resin is water resistant, not waterproof.

Remove jewellery when participating in physical activities, e.g. cleaning /gardening/gym. This will avoid bumping and scratching which could damage your item.

Clean the jewellery after each use and wipe with a soft cloth – Clean with a dry silver polish cloth only (provided); we recommend doing this daily when removing your jewellery. This is important to wipe away anything that may have come into contact during the day.

Sterling silver jewellery can tarnish if not cleaned, this is a completely natural process called oxidation, the amount this happens varies depending on the wearer’s habits and the skin type amongst other factors, regular cleaning helps to keep your jewellery looking its best.

DO NOT USE ANY SILVER CLEANING PRODUCT ON CREMATION ASHES JEWELLERY AS THIS CAN DAMAGE THE STONE

Jewellery should be stored away separately in a jewellery box.-  Always store your memorial item in its own box or soft pouch away from other pieces of jewellery to avoid scratching

Avoid contact with smoke – This can, although not always, cause unnecessary yellowing.
